Formed in the fall of 2011, Never See The Day (formerly known as Those That Remain) have quickly established themselves as one of Northwest Arkansas' top metal bands, cultivating a large and dedicated fan base after slaying the area with several high-profile shows in 2012. With the release of the group's first E.P. in June, Never See The Day was looking to expand their fan base to a national level and add to their ever-expanding resume of shows in 2013.
The group took shape shortly after the split-up of two rising Fayetteville based acts- Sins of Tomorrow and Element of November- blending the two group's sounds and influences, creating a perfect storm of melodic metal-core. Consisting of guitarists Dustin Andrews, and H. Bozoian, drummer Matt "Sixx" Mick, bassist Josh Case and vocalist Keating Elrod, the group started gaining local buzz almost immediately.
The group took advantage of this opportunity and made their first appearance in January 2012, being asked to play a benefit concert for Arkansas For Compassionate Care along with several other local metal heavyweights. By years end the band had shared the stage with national acts such as Emmure, Upon A Burning Body, Ill Nino and Nonpoint (just to name a few). The band was one of only four unsigned bands to play the first ever July4Core Metal Festival in Fayetteville featuring groups like Motionless In White, Born of Osiris, Memphis May Fire, Crown the Empire, After the Burial and I See Stars. The band closed out 2012 headlining their first show at Day 1 of the Festivus For-The-Rest-Of-Us Metal Fest in December of 2012.
Late in 2012, the group entered Sinister Studios in Fayetteville with producer Jeff Feast to begin work on their first album, a 7-track, self titled E.P. At this time, the band decided that a name change was in order and the members agreed upon the new moniker: Never See The Day. The re-branded group launched their new pages (Facebook, Twitter, ReverbNation, etc.) in a social media campaign on March 1, 2013, along with an album teaser video, giving fans a taste of the highly-anticipated upcoming release. The band released their first single "I Don't Speak Those Everyday Words" the same week to local radio stations. The E.P. is currently scheduled to be released June 2013.
