The bluegrass-based Bread and Butter Band is a four-piece group, with passionate, engaging vocals and a strong focus on the crisp, clean chords of bluegrass harmonies. The upright bass, banjo, and guitar come together to compliment the consistent harmonies of Grayson Deal, Nicole Kendle, and Sean Patterson, all accentuated by the incredibly dynamic and versatile fiddle playing of Aaron Farmer.
The Bread and Butter Band began in Black Mountain, NC in 2012, and they’ve been rehearsing and developing since. Their music consists of bluegrass instruments and roots, but stretches across genres and borders to reach people of all sorts. There are strong whiffs of blues and country in the vocals, with a distinctly Appalachian feeling fiddle, all meshing to create a definite down-home mountain sound.
