As their name suggests, The Social Bandits are indeed outlaws destined to be avengers and champions of Rock n’ Roll justice. With their own twist on modern rock as a foundation, TSB infuses their grooves with blues, jazz, and classical influences, so these young guns are poised to show the world a whole new brand of Motor City artistry.
After jamming together for years, the group officially came together as The Social Bandits in February of 2013.
Although young in age, these guys are veterans on the live show circuit, with over 100 shows on their resume including hallowed Detroit area venues like The Crofoot, The Blind Pig, Chene Park and Arts, Beats and Eats in Royal Oak. Influenced by classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Eric Clapton, their writing style expands old school boundaries while incorporating contemporary influences such as The John Butler Trio and The Gaslight Anthem into their repertoire, performing a high octane mix of original tunes and electrifying covers. Their forthcoming EP was recorded at the esteemed Rustbelt Studios with Steve Lehane. Detroit’s own, The Social Bandits are Jesse Medawar (Vocals/Guitar), Jared Bentley (Lead Guitar), Brad Rude (Bass), and Dylan Walsh (Drums).
