Sonancy is a Hard Rock/Metal Band from Seattle, WA, originally formed in 2011 by Andre Hagan, Barry McDonough, and Isaac Forrester. In 2012 Nicholas Crowe joined the band for their first EP, a three song and self-titled release which made its debut in November 2012. An additional track to the EP, “Angels,” was released in the following months as well.
In January 2013, in an effort to expand their sound and reflect their new direction and writing, Luke Lattin replaced Crowe on vocals. His gritty vocals complemented Hagan’s powerful guitar riffs and McDonough’s percussion. The final addition to the lineup consisted of Nick Ham on bass guitar in June 2014.
Sonancy’s first full-length album, “Our Deepest Roots,” was released on June 25th, 2013, after recording sessions at 57th St. Productions in Monroe, and The Hive studio in SeaTac. Heavily influenced by Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, and Godsmack, the album featured searing guitar solos, heavy rhythm, pounding percussion, and captivating vocals.
“Our Deepest Roots” was mixed by Chris Pyle of The Hive and mastered by Nick Moon of Tone Proper, in Portland, Oregon. The Album art was created by Megan Cheever, who had also worked with the band on their previous release.
