“New Day Revolution is an awesome wake-up call to the Detroit music scene. A note to other bands, stay locked on waiting for a fastball because NDR has a wicked curveball that will strike your ass out, they are here to change the game.” –Tim Cook (cohost of the Tiny and Plankman show on TapDetroit.
New Day Revolution is a band born from the struggles and strengths of Detroit Rock City. Since forming in late 2012, they have been combining a blue-collar work ethic with the relentless pursuit of melding raw emotion with heavy modern rock. These qualities have quickly established NDR as the band to see and hear. A New Day Revolution show is more than a concert; it is an experience. While gaining a reputation for an energetic and intense live show, the band mixes powerful guitar riffs with infectious melodies and hard hitting lyrics.
"New Day Revolution brings the old school rock swagger, with a sound that is very today. Definitely a band both old school rockers and modern metal heads can get behind." –Rikki Roxx (founder of RawRadioX)
Dakota Starr (vocals), Drew Rodger (guitar), Nick Nagher (drums), and the newest member Marc Rance (bass) are four men who live and breathe music. They write about their view of the world around them. Their songs about the joys and struggles of life unite them with the crowd.
The band recently released its debut EP, The Signal, which was produced by John Kay (Bat on Fire, PTs Revenge, Koffin Kats) at Stu Stu Studios.
“NDR is exactly what they sound like on record: raw, in-your-face, passionate musicians who are honest about who they are and what they do; they let their music speak itself. –John Kay (owner/producer at Stu Stu Studios)
With songs like Can’t Break Free and 9 Lives Gone, The Signal is a collection of songs that hit the listener directly in the heart. With this new disc, New Day Revolution will continue to spread their music to the world, gaining new fans one person at a time.
