Greg Holland has been playing drums for 25 years. In addition, he's a State Licensed Teacher, Husband, Father, and Fine-Artist. With his drive for success and diverse drumming abilities, Greg has quickly made a name for himself in SE Iowa, having previously played and performed with Firebird, House 11, The Jefferson County Green Band, and River Dog Blues Band. Currently, Greg brings tasteful drum and percussive support to Truckstop Souvenir, Heather Miller, The Nameless Sorrows, and All Souls On Deck, in addition to making room for a Neil Young tribute concert too.

Greg Holland grew up in St. Louis, MO and has been playing and performing as a drummer since the age of 8. He graduated from Pattonville High School (Maryland Heights, MO) in 1997. Having been meditating since a boy, and wanting to continue his spiritual development, Greg attended Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, IA. There, all of the students, staff, and faculty practice Transcendental Meditation twice a day.

In 2002 he received a Bachelors of Fine Arts and Bachelors in Secondary Education. Since then, Greg’s been teaching full time, primarily middle and high school art. With each school year passing, he felt a continued pull toward his own artistic and musical endeavors. So, in the spring of 2012, Greg decided to put teaching on hold in order to pursue his dream of being a professional drummer and artist.

Greg attributes his style to inspiration from drummers such as Carter Beauford, Manu Katche, Neil Peart, Shannon Leto, and John Bonham.

Looking to broaden his reach outside of Fairfield, IA, Greg welcomes opportunities to play, perform, and/or record with groups in St. Louis, Chicago, Minneapolis, or Kansas City.
