Fresh Breath / Bio

Fresh Breath consists of 5 small town kids, all with similar goals to bring the funk back into Rock 'n Roll, to make something different happen in your ears, and to have a hell of a lot of fun doing it. Katie Griffin sings lead vocals over top of a tantalizing mix of folk and rock and mass percussion telling the story of life, and all things real. However it wasn't always this way, originally Fresh Breath was an acoustic duo from Essex, Ontario. Recently (2 years ago) they have joined hands to become, The Fresh Breath Band. Performing a new sound that has been hard for people to describe (in a good way). Band members: Josh Pascoe, Katie Griffin, Richard Hazzard (a.k.a. Dick), Dan Norman & Andy Gravel - make up the 5 piece suddenly creating a new genre: Funktry (a ridiculously catchy mix of funk, folk, rock & country). Josh & Katie have been songwriting together for 10 years. Always keeping the passion alive for the need to produce original music. And since then, the band has become a force to be reckoned with. Competing in the Dominion House’s Battle of the Bands and winning the spot to open up @ Windsor’s “Beaverfest” in 2012 for Emerson Drive & Doc Walker. They have since played all kinds of shows and local festivals including an opening spot at Windsor's Fork & Cork sharing the stage with Big Sugar, and recently had their first debut in Toronto at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern. Fresh Breath is now focusing on broadening their fan base & are starting to tour through different regions of Ontario. Keep your ears and eyes open in 2014 for the FRESH BREATH BAND.
