Tom Luxem- Guitar & Vocals.
Chicago suburb Glenview is where you would find me in a garage playing three-chord rock for hours with my bass playing friend Jimmy Page.
No, not the same one. Yes, it bothered him.
In Iowa City, I learned about multi-tracking from some players down the hall at the dorm. One of the best classes I took for no credit.
Living in Tempe is where "Mongo" jam band-ed me to friends, 'Freeze Band' showed us happiness and hotels, and 'Music By Numbers' took me down the rabbit hole. It showed me where home is, between the amp and the monitors.
Brad Renner- Keyboards & Vocals
Born and raised in Topeka. Found his way in, out, through, over, under, and in-between the music scene for nearly 30 years, and has had great opportunities to play with some very fine artists in and around the area. Definitely a gear junkie...especially if it has keys, knobs, and levers. Ooh, I wonder what this button does? Has a deep if not slightly uncomfortable obsession with his organ...the Hammond kind you sickos. Likes nearly all genres and always keeps an ear towards the strange and unusual; however loves to just "git down and boogie."
Joe Gabel- Bass & Vocals
Bred and fed in Topeka, Joe started playing music in his early grade school years.
Starting with guitar, he added percussion, then bass in middle school. He focused on
bass throughout high school, where he discovered jazz and blues. After hanging up his
guitars for the better part of two decades, he had the opportunity to dust them off and
join a folkgroup at his church. Through some mutual connections, he found his way
back onto the stage in 2010. After playing with a few local cover bands, he joined the
Phaders in December 2012.
