Holly Grove Singers / Bio

The Holly Grove Singers are a Third and Fourth generation family group who are quickly carving their space in the gospel music industry. In 2004, the young ladies took over the group that was started by their grandmother and great-grandmother. These spirit filled ladies have wasted no time in making a name for themselves while carrying on the tradition started by their family matriarchs. In 2005 they received the Legends Award from the St. Louis Chapter of the AGQC. Then in 2007 they won the Favorite Female Quartet Award.

“Simply Us” is the Holly Grove Singers first collaborative CD which was just released September 2012. The group came together and wrote six of the nine songs featured on the project. Their unique sound has been described as a Church, Jazz, Soul, Traditional gospel sound infused with a modern twist. Even that description doesn’t fully capture their elusive and captivating music.

The Holly Grove Singers have a diverse background and when coupled with their musical influences, can and will be heard all throughout their live performances. Their combination of the distinctive song delivery and vocal harmonies can evoke high praise and deep spiritual encounters in the presence of God.
