Megan Green is a third generation musician who started with piano at age 7 (Talent Developing studio), voice training at age 10 (Jean McEntire), and guitar at age 13 (Rik Lawhorne of Roberson’s Music). Both Megan’s father (guitar, drums and vocals) and grandfather (guitar and vocals) continue to actively perform. As a baby, Megan would only go to sleep if the music of Alan Jackson was playing! She started performing regularly in church at age 10, and began writing original music at age 12. Megan enjoys friends, being a country girl, and aspires to study business. She currently plays acoustic guitar, sings, and writes original music. She is the former lead singer for Hangin’ With Stogie who was featured by Song Revelation's Artist Spotlight, Teen Groove on the Move, the Josie Show, and numerous other shows including News 4 Nashville. Stacy's Music Row Report gave them a 5 star rating. Megan was featured on the front page of Music News Nashville and was described as having a stage presence which is fresh, new, and professional placing her on top with those names already recognizable in the industry. Megan was honored to participate in the IEBA Showcase. Megan has played live on B101.5 in Fredericksburg, VA. Her first original song, ‘Butterflies’ first arrangement was with Jeff Covert at Wally Cleaver's Studio in Fredericksburg, VA, and final mixing and mastering by Jeff Silverman of Palette Music in Nashville, TN. In July 2013, Megan opened for Scotty McCreery at Celebrate Virginia Live. Check out her website: www.megangreenmusic.com (still under construction).
