TREATED & RELEASED is a three-piece band consisting of Steve Bise on guitar, harmonica and vocals, Mark Koehler on drums and Nancy Bise on bass.

Steve is a St. Louis musician who earns his living as a private music instructor. His passion has led him to perform hundreds of times as solo artist throughout the St. Louis area, especially in the Soulard area. Steve has also been an opening act for many artists visiting the St. Louis area including Marshall Tucker, Emmy Lou Harris, and Todd Rundgren, among others. Steve was also a featured artist at the Blues and Heritage festival in 1996. Steve’s experience both as a performer and instructor has led TREATED & RELEASED to perform a diverse playlist from hard driving rock and roll to bossa nova.

Mark started playing drums at the age of nine. Although life took Mark in other directions for several years, he always remained a drummer. Over the last few years, Mark has come full circle and entered the music scene once again. Mark also plays with St. Louis’ Big Daddy and the Pineapples. Mark is a dynamic, driving, intuitive drummer who completes the sound of TREATED & RELEASED.

Nancy started playing bass in 1986, but didn’t fully embrace the instrument until a few years ago. The bass guitar has now become an obsession and Nancy has been focusing on learning theory and jazz as it applies to the bass. Nancy is a solid bass player who compliments Steve’s playing and syncs well with Mark’s driving rhythms.

TREATED & RELEASED play a wide variety of songs, and makes each one theirs. They are not a cover band, but play well-known songs with a twist.
