“Jimmy C. Williams”
Hello to all my Country Music loving Friends at Home and Abroad.
My name is Jimmy C. Williams, and I am so pleased for the opportunity to introduce myself to you. This Introduction is intended to give you some background information on who I am, where I’m from, and what I’m doing in Country Music.
I was born on the first day of March, a few years ago in a small house next to the railroad tracks
on the south east side of Lawton, Oklahoma, U.S.A.
I reckon that explains my love of steam locomotive trains, and the God given gift of having the ability to imitate the sound of the train’s steam whistles. I started doing this at an early age to my Family’s amazement and sometimes entertainment or most likely interruptions at times.
My Dad was an Oklahoma cowboy making a living driving cattle to the auction stock yards from the
ranches and farms. I spent my early childhood intent on being the best cowboy I could be,
just like my dad who was my first real cowboy hero.
Our Family moved quite often due to my Dad’s winter cowboy work in Oklahoma and summer work as a share crop worker on farms and ranches in south eastern New Mexico.
My school years up to H.S. Junior were split between the two states, changing schools two times a year I was always behind, it was tough at times but that helped build my character.
The only stable thing in my early life was country music; it was the same wherever I lived and a big comfort in my constantly changing and turbulent childhood.
It wasn’t any surprise that I developed a talent of singing. I easily learned the songs and closely imitated the country music singers being played on the local radio stations as I listened with my Parents and GrandParents.
I am really happy with my agreement with BSW Records to release my first CD titled:
“Ride the Trains with Jimmy C.”
I enjoyed every moment of singing to the great musical background that all my Nashville friends magically produced with their instruments. I couldn’t help but sing my heart out in these songs that are so embedded in my soul through my childhood memories.
Please enjoy my rendition of these classic train related country music favorites, which include a new exciting addition, my very own vocal replication of steam locomotive whistles in the songs. I am looking forward to presenting these songs and whistles live on stage when I perform in your area.
I am scheduled to perform in Berlin Germany at the MESSE Country Music Showcase
on February 2nd, 2013, and I hope to meet you there if it is possible for you to attend.
I am available for your interviews in Berlin, and looking forward to talking with you.
To all the Radio DJs: Thank you very much for playing my songs on your radio programs.
