.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ........ ...... ........ ............King C. Curtis, singer, guitarist, songwriter was a well known sideman at several tours with British and American rock'n'roll stars in the 90ies. He's one of the finest rockabilly guitar players and singers on the scene today and when you hear his voice, you can notice some influence from this guy who lived in Graceland/Memphis. Still King C. Curtis has developed his own style and mixes his magic potion only by his individual recipe. He seems to very smoothly connect the earthy Memphis garage-sound and the mystic, bluesy swampsounds of Louisiana with his own European mentality and thus cultural roots. A musical cocktail of swampy rock and rockabilly of the 1950’s is being served – always with a slight modern topping. The devilish and driven sound is perfectly fitting all the Voodoo Queens and Hoodoo Men out there preparing their elixirs. His ability to add a touch of gravel and grit to a song and capture the raw emotion behind the music is striking and not to be missed.
