Deep Search is a high-energy indie rock group based in Savannah, Ga. Working on a dorm room recording project, singer/guitarist Lucas Carpenter began collaborating with fellow Savannah College of Art and Design student Chris Befeld and within weeks the two released their first single, "Movies". A mutual interest in mermaids, nostalgia and an over-worn Maps & Atlases tshirt resulted in the addition of Keyboardist, Parker Stewart and Bassist, Sam Haigley.
Deep Search attracted a following at over-the-top house parties, but within a year the band was playing venues and festivals across Savannah -- including the No Control Fall Festival and Graveface Festival, as well as opening for Future Islands at The Wormhole and Heyrocco at The Sparetime. Deep Search is influenced by contemporary bands like Bombay Bicycle Club and The Shins, but classic rockers from The Kinks to Buddy Holly have also impacted the sound.
