Big Ben Hillman the Professor of FUNK / Bio

Big Ben Hillman is an award-winning singer-songwriter and musician from the Boston area whose style of music is very danceable and funky. He began his musical career at the age of 12, playing drums with a variety of area bands. As a high school student he switched to playing the keyboards as a way to write and arrange his own music. He then made a name for himself as a well known keyboard player in the Boston funk, jazz, soul and blues scenes, playing with some of the biggest names in local music. Over the course of his career, Ben has shared the stage with a host of diverse and well known musicians ranging from the Wu Tang Clan, De La Soul, Biz Markie, and Mix Master Mike of The Beastie Boys to rock legends Les Claypool and Jimmy Buffet.
