Korbee (Tom and Jenn Korbee) are songwriters, in the truest sense. Their lives, their thoughts, their truths are spilled out in the music they write. An alluring vocal collaboration with flares of Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, Springsteen and Lady Antebellum, came together as a duo in 2012 after writing and performing together and separately for years. Previously, as the trio Korbee Jones, with Daniel Jones of Savage Garden, Korbee penned numerous songs including I’m With You, which is featured on their new release, Great Escape. Struggle, hope, perseverance, love (in it’s most honest, and sometimes harsh form) all permeate through, and form the bedrock of the world that they create in their songs. Sweeping melodies coupled with honest, creative lyrics challenge today's listener to think and listen a little deeper while still giving them the pop/rock smash that they have been raised to expect.
They have played internationally from Sydney to Vancouver to The Greek Theater in Los Angeles and have shared the stage with Vintage Trouble, Sheila E, Hanson, Alan Parsons, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Savage Garden and many others. Most recently, they performed the National Anthem at Lincoln Financial Field for The Philadelphia Eagles (Oct. 27 2013) and at Lambeau Field for The Green Bay Packers (Nov. 10 2013).
Their 2012 independently released debut EP, Better Life, established a significant fan base through singles “Keep Me From Falling” produced by Jim McGorman (Musical Director - Avril Lavigne, Cher) and Grammy-nominated, Robb Vallier as well as their self-produced title track “Better Life” which includes power performances from Kenny Aronoff (Mellencamp, Bon Jovi, Elton John), Stevie Blacke (P!nk, Rhianna, Madonna) and Tim Pierce (Springsteen, Kelly Clarkson, Santana).
Korbee recently established a partnership with web company, Intern Sushi, to become their first "In the Studio" artist. The partnership releases singles and videos to Intern Sushi's 18-24 demographic of young trendsetters and innovators. Intern Sushi's "In the Studio" performance video of "Keep Me From Falling" reached 384,945 views on YouTube.
Their newest release, Great Escape, produced entirely by Korbee, is an amalgam of everywhere they've come from and everywhere they are going. Once again featuring performances by Tim Pierce, Stevie Blacke, and Marc Slutsky (Splender), these songs speak of the tribulations, fears and hopefulness of forging a new road while delivering a new, familiar sound.
