LICENSING: NU Revo, as an independent label, has relied on the licensing of music to film, television and radio as a valuable source of income and through our efforts in cleanliness and marketability we have made it our business model to make music that is not only profitable, but satisfies the demand for a more main-stream Hip-Hop. The current state of Hip-Hop has produced a vacuum where little Conscious music can thrive; Our Conscious-Commercial Hip-Hop is changing the rules and we are finding success on the corporate level is the safer bet. As a result, for 3 years running Wordsmith has won an ASCAP Plus award for his ever-growing catalogue of licensed music. Networks like ESPN, NFL Network, CBS, ABC, PBS, USA, TBS, Bravo, Fox, Viki and brands like Cici’s Pizza, Nintendo Wii, Kawasaki and more have all used Wordsmith’s music for several campaigns.

RADIO: Since June 3rd, 2014 Wordsmith has been doing a monthly show called “Worldwide with Wordsmith via Joint One Radio in Japan. It airs 24/7 on Jointone.com and gives audiences worldwide a chance to hear Wordsmith explain how songs come together for his albums and subsequently playing those records for new audiences. Prior radio success came from a collaboration Album, “Bridging the Gap”, with the legendary Chubb Rock. The duo's single, "Old 2 the New" peaked at #2 on the Rap attack lives Hip Hop Charts, while Wordsmith’s lead single, “Hook-Up Hotline”, peaked at #14 nationally on the Urban indie charts.
PUBLIC SPEAKING/CHARITY: Wordsmith has made charitable contributions a pillar of his NU Revo label and performances are just the beginning. For two years running Wordsmith has been the performing artist for students at local inner-city schools for the annual Red Day festival sponsored by Open Door Baltimore and Keller Williams. The networking at Red Day led to a performance at Baltimore’s National Night Out, a nation-wide public awareness campaign for safety. Since then Wordsmith has gotten into the school lecture circuit, telling his story and motivating students with his music at several schools in Baltimore, MD. Furthermore, Wordsmith has entered the public speaking field through the 2014 Millennium Music Conference. It marked the first time Wordsmith delivered his Maximizing Revenue Streams in the Music Business seminar to up and coming musicians.
ALBUMS: Wordsmiths current album is titled The Blue Collar Recital and is available on Pandora Radio, ITunes, Amazon, Google and all other digital outlets. The project is a concept album structured as a day-in-the-life of a Blue Collar artist. The album has something for everyone and speaks to the reality of life so often ignored in the flash of Hip-Hop today. Since signing a deal with Ingrooves/Fontana distribution, Wordsmith has been able to re-release previous albums like King Noah & Vintage Experience on these same platforms making many more hits available for listen & purchase.
