Born September 7, 1985, award winning drummer Craig Bailey is making history for being one of the most diverse drummers to emerge during the last decade. He also has been fortunate to individually play for some bigger names including multi-platinum artist and 14 time Grammy award winner Ricky Skaggs and his wife Sharon Skaggs, who is a platinum and Grammy award winning artist as well. Craig has also accompanied gospel artist Bobby Jones, international saxophonist Jackiem Joyner, and nine-time Grammy winner John Legend.
Craig’s unique style and relentless work ethic has been the rhythm behind several successful projects. Since moving to Nashville in 2006, he has recorded a multitude of projects in some of city’s most reputable studios including Studio B, where Elvis Presley recorded most of his hit songs, and Ocean Way studios, which list of clients includes George Strait, Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, and many more. As part of Black Diamond, a R&B and neo-soul band he founded, Craig has created a niche in the Nashville music scene.
As a musician, Craig believes in the endless dedication to perfect one’s craft by continuously growing in style, groove, and knowledge of instrument and music as a whole. Craig looks forward to continuing to build his network and tour the world with innovative artists such as personal favorites: Paramore, Robert Glasper, and Pharrell Williams.
