Clara Charron is a seventeen year old singer and songwriter.
Her debut EP, In A Café, was released in June 2014. Praised for her poetic lyrics and unique emotional voice, In A Café [independently released worldwide] tells the stories of walking away from what hurts you (Dangerous), love after recovery (An Angel In A Café), living with someone with mental illness (Feel), and ends with a letter written to someone who took their own life (Blue Diamond).
She has also been mentioned in the Ottawa Citizen by a fellow musician, calling her songs “touching, because they are so real.” Her folksy-rock sound is compared to Taylor Swift’s early years and the late Lou Reed, but Clara prefers sounding like herself, playing the guitar and piano, and getting talented musicians she has met to play other parts.
As of October 2014, Clara Charron is working on her next release.
Dubbed a “superstar talent,” Clara has performed at numerous school events, pubs, coffee shops, and have even shared the stage with a band at Ottawa Bluesfest. She is currently based in Ottawa, ON, Canada.
