Caroline Dare is a new up and coming singer/songwriter from NC. Just turned 13 years old, she has written numerous original songs and was recently recognized by the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) as a writer "on the rise". Her song "Game On" and its video have been featured worldwide on The Fox Soccer Channel. "Happiest Holiday" is featured on Tunesmith's Holiday/Christmas Project produced in Nashville. The song received Honorable Mention placement in the 2013 Song of the Year Songwriting Contest and was also named one of the Top 20 songs in the 2013 Jango/RadioAirplay Christmas song contest. The song was also included on 2 additional Christmas/Holiday CD's in 2013. One of these CD's was distributed to kids and families in Children's Hospitals all over the world. For this latter contribution, she was awarded the 2013 GelderHead Productions Award of Excellence for Creativity and Generosity.
More recently, her original song "Someday" was selected for The Independent No.1’s Vol. 3 Compilation produced by W.O.A Records in the UK. She is the youngest artist to ever be included on this series featuring some of the finest International Independent artists from around the world. The Independent No.1's is supported by W.O.A International media partners and tour partners including MTV/Vh1, Hard Rock Cafe and various other media outlets.
Caroline is also involved with many charitable events including Tunes for Tots and her local Children's Hospital. She has also recently worked on a project with former American Idol contestant Sarah Burgess to raise awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
She has played at notable venues such as The Bluebird Cafe and The Commodore Grille (Nashville, TN), Eddie's Attic (Atlanta, GA), and MerleFest (Wilkesboro, NC). Caroline will be playing in numerous festival and events in NC in the coming year. Award winning producer Blake Scott says "its simply amazing the talent this young girl brings to the table, not only singing and playing the guitar, but writing her own material. She gets very little arrangement of her songs from me, they are already put together very well when she presents them." Expect to hear big things from this young talent in the future...
