Caroline Dare is an up and coming singer/songwriter from NC. Just 14 years old, she has been recognized by the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) as "One to Watch" for being a songwriter on the rise. One of her songs "Happiest Holiday" (written at age 11) is featured on Tunesmith's Holiday/Christmas Project produced in Nashville. The song was included on 3 additional Christmas/Holiday CD's in 2013/2014 and for this she was awarded the 2013 GelderHead Productions Award of Excellence for Creativity and Generosity. In April of 2015, she was featured as the Taylor Guitars "Player of the Week".
Caroline has recently been selected into the Nashville based "Tom Jackson Emerging Artist Program" and meets with her team once a month on a 3 year artist development schedule. She will also be part of the 2015 cast for the NC Country Music Showcase ("Where the Stars Get Their Start") 'A Carolina Christmas' series.
She has performed at notable venues such as The Bluebird Cafe and The Commodore Grille (Nashville, TN), Eddie's Attic (Atlanta, GA), MerleFest (Wilkesboro, NC), Festival in the Park (Charlotte, NC), the Earth Day Music Festival on Hillsborough St (Raleigh, NC), and The Race City Festival (Mooresville, NC). She has also opened for national acts such as Little Texas and Justine Blazer.
Caroline is involved with many charitable events including Tunes for Tots, her local Children's Hospital and Humane Society. She has also worked on a project with former American Idol contestant Sarah Burgess to raise awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
