Formed in early 2012, War Over Water wasted no time getting to work on their first album. Two weeks after playing the Underground Music Showcase on South Broadway in Denver, the band entered the studio in August, 2012. Working with Joe Richmond (Churchill, The Fray), the band spent one week tracking what would end up being there debut EP entitled The Authority. They took apart each song and put them back together to form the first chapter of their musical story.

The Authority EP is War Over Water's debut album featuring 7 songs about beliefs, fears, and hometowns. The trio presents a straightforward brand of original indie rock music and is focused on making their mark in Denver and the surrounding region.
