Chris Silvers’ love of music was first inspired by his grandfather. His passion for music has led him on a journey to become the recording artist he is today. Chris’ music is fueled by a combination of life experiences and his talent for writing songs and a charismatic stage presence. As lead vocal and guitarist for the Texas-based alternative rock band IMI, Chris has achieved considerable recognition throughout the region, and has shared the stage with several national acts such as: Fuel, Puddle of Mudd, All American Rejects, Seven Dust, Saliva, Candlebox and Evans Blue just to name a few. IMI’s debut album - Halo was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Alex Gerst and is still available on iTunes. Chris is a member of the Texas Festivals and Events Association (TFEA), and is a member of the International Festival and Events Association (IFEA). He has also headlined at the annual South by Southwest Festival in Austin Texas. Clearly, Chris is no stranger to playing in front of large crowds and appealing to a diverse audience.
Chris hooked up with Producer/Musician/Engineer – Rob Weschler, drummer Mitch Marine and guitarist Andy Timmons to release his latest project. Mitch is the current drummer for Dwight Yoakam and formerly of Tripping Daisy, Smash Mouth, and the Andy Timmons Band. Andy Timmons is currently the band leader and guitarist for Olivia Newton-John and the Andy Timmons Band and formerly of Danger Danger. Andy is also the representative for Ibanez Guitars.
Rob, through his Dallas-based company WexTrax Mastering Labs, has built solid relationships with both major and independent labels. WexTrax is credited with Platinum Record Awards, Gold Record Awards, and Grammy nominations. Rob has also recorded and mastered releases with Erykah Badu, The Dirty Heads, 12 Stones, The Beach Boys, Olivia Newton-John, Vanilla Ice, and Hank Williams Jr., to name just a few. Rob has also worked on projects with Pepsi, Taco Bell, Universal Studios, CBS Records, Warner Brothers Music, Andy Timmons, Whitney Houston and many others.
Now that Chris has joined forces with Andy on guitar and Mitch on drums, along with the constant support of Rob Weschler and rock star image consultant John Germain Leto of MTV’s Made. Chris is moving forward with a new persona and a new sound, branding himself as Chris Silver - lead vocal and guitarist for Atomic Shift. This commanding new sound is to be released early 2013.
