From as early back as I can remember music has been my passion. I sang my first solo at the age of six in front of my church, learned to play the guitar in Junior High during our choir class and seemed to pick it up pretty quickly. Through out High School I was very active in music. Participated in as many musical activities, choirs and solo performances as I could winning many awards for my school. I wrote my first song at the age of 16 and got my first paid professional singing job at 19. But have written poems and limericks my whole life. I will admit that I am not much of a musician but words have always seemed to come easy for me.
I live to sing and all too often have had to sing to live. I am a seasoned professional with over two decades of performing, producing, singing/ entertaining experience and am a registered BMI songwriter. I have performed in various Opry Style Country Music Shows, worked as a professional studio demo singer, traveled on the road with various bands all over the United States, opened for several major recording artists as well as had the unique opportunity to perform my own original shows.
I have a traditional country sound that I have worked very hard to preserve. I believe a song should tell a story and when you sing it people should be able to take that journey with you and feel like they are a part of it. When selecting my material if it is not a song that I have written myself then it must meet a certain criteria. I must be able to relate to it on a personal level. If I don't believe what I'm singing then how can I expect my fans to believe what I am trying to sell them. It is my goal to share these stories with the world then pass the torch on to my three beautiful daughters.
