Hi I'm Ben Jones and welcome to my Reverbnation page. I started playing the Piano at the age of 8, the Saxophone at the age of 11 and the guitar at the age of 16. I was a member of the High School Band, Jazz Band and Concert Choir. I was also in the KY All-State Choir my Senior year of High School. That year I also joined a Professional Jazz Band and played the Baritone Sax.
My Sophomore year of College I started playing at Local Bars and Venues. I would mainly play the Acoustic Guitar and would switch instruments if one of my friends wanted to play with me. I performed at a bar called Renies lounge every Tuesday night for Two years straight. During that time I was also with a band called, The Bakersette Boys..Which the three recorded songs on page are from. I played the Keyboard and sang Lead and backup vocals. After leaving that Gig I started to play for a band called Antaean. They are a Columbus Alternative Rock band, http://www.reverbnation.com/antaean. I mainly played the keys and sang backup in that band. we managed to get a couple original songs to be played on the Columbus Radio stations, which definitely put a smile on my face. Another highlight of being in that band was actually being chosen by ReverbNation out of 200 Local bands, We got to meet the members of the band RAINS. The band was opening up for Five Finger Death Punch that evening, so we also got a free show out of it. While playing with Antaean I was also playing with my College buddies band The Greg Hale Band. I played keys, sax and sang backup vocals in that group. We recently Recorded a new CD at one of the Best Recording Studios in Columbus, it definitely turned out awesome. here is their page with some of the tunes I recorded with them: http://www.reverbnation.com/greghaleband. Unfortunately I had to leave that all behind to take care of my family in KY and kind of go a new direction in my life. But I still want to be involved with music and write new tunes. So I'm just gonna bring you the newest, totally original tunes for your entertainment. I hope you all enjoy what you hear. I'll change things up soon when I get my new stuff Recorded.
