House of David Gang is a reggae outfit that delivers classic roots rock reggae mixed with folk, soul, calypso, afrobeat, and hip hop influences. It is fronted by vocalist King Selah and drummer Jahlin Edwards, with guitarists Terell Jarvis & Jay "High Plains Drifter" Cleary, bassist Snappy Homefry, keybordist James Gray and horn players I-Sax and Mike Field rounding out the modern incarnation of “The Gang”. The band takes its name from The House of David, an after-hours spot on Queen Street West that was a hotspot for artists from the city's burgeoning Rastafarian and reggae community from the late 80s until the mid 90s. Capturing audiences at Rastafest to over 4,000 fans alongside The Mighty Diamonds and Echo Minott, House of David Gang has garnered national attention on CBC Radio, and performed live to 2 million people on CityTV’s Breakfast Television performing their new songs, including the new single "Best I Can Be". The band's annual Bob Marley Birthday Tribute Food Drive tour has become a staple of the winter touring circle across Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
