Probably the most interesting piece of my past is that I was raised in a cult. From there I learned a lot about myself and about others and now try to take a stand against abuse in all forms. A lot of the songs written in the "I Fall in Love Everyday..." EP were written with that goal in mind.
Influences would have to include a lot of the classics of lots of varieties! From Led Zeppelin to James Taylor. I love them all! Nowadays, the music that really drives me is bands such as Death Cab for Cutie, Fair to Midland, Father John Misty... Basically running the gamut still with musical tastes.
I started playing guitar at the age of 13. I remember sitting in my room and being excited that I could play just a little CCR. My parents gave me a good musical work ethic and supported my dream growing up.
I never thought about singing until I was just a little older. Around 17 years old I realized that I enjoyed that as well! That and picking up the bass guitar became "my new thing".
I have played in everything from metal to worship bands. Now my focus is something a little more meaningful. From house parties to the House of Blues in L.A. I have loved every single moment on stage and am excited to get the message out that I believe needs to be heard!
