With huge determination and a clear vision of what he wants, P!TRE pronounced (P-Tree) hopes to transcend from a local rapper/singer music artist to an international phenomenon using melodic beats and clever word play. Windell Pitre born April 16 in Beaumont, TX grew up on the city’s south side (South Park) with his father a heavy equipment operator at a local refinery and his mother an in home care giver for the disabled and mentally challenged. He stated, “I wasn’t going to start recording music again unless I had my own studio recording equipment to make music on my own time and put in the work that’s needed in order to create a quality product”.
After a seven year hiatus from music, Pitre is back and here to stay. The gifted music artist wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered his first full length much anticipated album entitled, If This World Was Mine which is a blend of hip hop, neo soul, and sounds of electronica all in one. Film director Joe Elmore says, “If you like hot lyrics and nice beats If This World Was Mine will definitely satisfy your taste. All of who Pitre is and what he has experienced comes out in his music and I’m excited to see what else he’s going to do.” If This World Was Mine encompasses 15 songs that cover a wide range of topics such as life struggles, relationships, self-realization, and relishing night life.
The first single “I’m Down”, is set to hit the air late November 2012.
