Dejuan John was born Lamar Dejuan Johnson in Oakland, CA May 26, 1990. He is the 5th of 11 children raised by a couple of hard working African Americans. Hence, there were certain obstacles like separation from his family due to violence, drugs, experiencing a run-in with the law, and/or hanging around the wrong crowd that made his life challenging as an adolescent. Additionally, at the age of 14, and after witnessing one of his younger brothers’ shot and almost killed laying in ICU at a local Bay area hospital in which days after that incident, a close friend of his had been announced dead. Contrary to the lost, his brother lived, & fed Dejuan the energy to brake the barrier for which he started as a Hip-Hop/R&B/Songwriter for a friend in High School. Dejuan later merged into rapping and producing himself for a greater share of the spotlight. Slowly, but surely, Dejuan John is rebuilding the foundation of music, well as continuing his education as a full-time college student.
