A Kampala based classic rock, jazz and blues band. The band was founded by two expatriates, Andrew (US) and Paul (ICE) who play rhythm guitar and drums.
After auditioning a few interested musicians David, Steven were then recruited, both assimilated from what was then the only rock band in Kampala, the Uneven. A dozen or so singers then auditioned and Bemma was taken on without any doubt. He provided the band with a rough, authentic voice, capable of delivering anything from soft jazz to heavy rock or blues. After their base player, Steven Crane tragically passed away, Emma then took on the difficult task of attempting to fill the gap. The most recent member is Mathias from Norway, who provides soulful keyboard fillers and solos.
Bonobo Love has now set up their own high quality rehearsal space and are in the process of writing their first album. The focus is mixing Ugandan/African vibes with a more classic sound, inspired by the likes of Hendrix, BB King and Otis Redding.
Please stay tuned!
