Love Jupiter / Bio

Brooklyn-based indie rock four-piece Love Jupiter calls its powerful, haunting sound ‘Heavy Beautiful’. In 2011, bassist Matt Adamec and drummer Bob DeRienzo found themselves in two bands with longstanding collaborators pursuing similar trajectories— “Jupiter,” an avante-power trio with singer-guitarist Michael ‘Chickie’ Ciulla, and “Of,” an ethereal power trio with singer-guitarist Mark Goetz. A merger followed, and Love Jupiter was born. ’Heavy Beautiful’ was realized from the first sessions. Built on a percussive frenzy, harmonic notes are plucked from the heavens, and a passionate, provocative narrative unfolds. Telling ordinary tales of extraordinary things, Love Jupiter connects us to the universal power and emotional rawness of love, loss, favor and fury. The result is potent and mesmerizing. Heavy. Beautiful. Playing live, Love Jupiter unleashes its cosmic fury and induces the same in their audience. It’s hard, it’s heavy, it’s rock and roll, re-imagined and reinvigorated. Love Jupiter released their first full length album in July 2013.
