Rob Ronner is a singer/songwriter/instrumentalist based in his hometown of Wilmington, NC. A performer since childhood, a love of music has permeated every day of his life practically since he could talk, singing every chance he got. Rob began his instrumental journey on the drums at age 11, taught to him by his older brother. After a trip to visit family in western Virginia at age 14, where he witnessed the power of not just bluegrass but music in general, Rob returned home with a guitar and hasn't put it down since. At age 25 he left his pursuit of a degree in Spanish (which he would later return and finish), crossed his fingers dedicated his life to his music. Immediately he found local acclaim and recognition in Wilmington and began appearing on local radio with Foz on Z107.5 and in regional publications such as Avenue, Encore, and Focus on the Coast, and popping up in numerous online reviews. Since then Ronner has gigged furiously, Released to EP's (2006's All In Time and 2009's The New Nation), formed and dissolved two brainchild groups after they ran their creative course, and now records from home and plays cafes/events/parties while deciding what his next touring collaboration will be. His next Album and first full-length LP is set to be released in the Spring of 2013, and true to his style he has still yet to title it. Rob writes about what he sees and how he feels about it. He supports genuineness in all people, warriorship, gentleness and love. He invites you to observe, question, rewind, and enjoy.
