King Jehosh is a singer/songwriter and gutarist whose music is found mainly on the World: Reggae genre. He sings about Love, God, Wisdom, Peace, Human rights, Life and Africa. His songs are highly inspirational, rhythmic, melodious and harmonic. He believes that music is universal language and does not fail to communicate a message irrespective of the tongue a song is performed in.
King Jehosh sees himself first and foremost as an African and he tries to reflect the sure rhythms, melody and harmonies of his African roots in his music. He was born in Benin City Nigeria and grew up listening to a lot of roots music by the top Hi-life musicians of the ‘60’s in West Africa, Robert Nesta Marley (a.k.a Bob Marley), Fela Kuti, ‘80’s funk and pop music, heavy metal rock music and Majek Fashek. He managed to learn some aspects of music from them without getting himself with their lifestyles which he didn't really approve of. In the early ‘90’s he played with some bands in Lagos. Though he is broad minded about several issues of life and living, his lyrics are influenced by the message of God’s supremacy, total African freedom, Love, wisdom, courage,peace, truth, faith and success. He writes songs in the languages that he understands and speaks which includes English language and his native Edo language.
