Scott Mann is a self-taught Musician and Singer/Songwriter whose first musical experience was at the age 17 as lead singer of a high school rock n' roll band called "Necropolis." Seems funny now that Scott once sang in a band that stood for "City of the Dead," because his songs are far from darkness and much closer to light. Scott's music stands somewhere between a Buddy Holly of the 1950's and a Jason Mraz of the 2000s. He is Singer/Songwriter first and foremost, and believes in writing, singing, and playing from the heart in spite of what sounds may be popular in modern music. He learned to play guitar at the age of 20, and has been a professional musician since 2001. Releasing three independent CD's, "the road as I know it" in 2001, "Sam's Acoustic Soul" in 2004, and "A Memory On Canvas Reissue 2013". He is working on a 4 song EP which should be released in 2014. Since 2002 he has performed at the Grapefest Festival, Main Street Days, Deep Ellum Arts Festival, Fort Worth Fall Arts & Music Festival, among others. He has toured as far east as Chapel Hill, NC and as far west as San Luis Obispo, CA. In January 2013 Scott drove all the way to San Antonio to try out for America's Got Talent. After getting discouraged about not getting called back for a second tryout, he has decided to try out again in 2014. Look out because here I come!
Scott is self-employed General Contractor and also works in Contract Sales for his family's flooring business here in Fort Worth. After a five year hiatus from performing to raise a family he started back writing, singing, and performing in 2012. Scott has two children, Aaron Jude who is 15, and Jenna Grace who is 4.
