TranKQuiLL is a trio formed out of St. Petersburg, FL.
Although the band was formed in August of 2012, the idea of it goes back many years with front man J.c. Miller.
After losing his mother to breast cancer in October of 2001. Then losing his father in December of 2006. Being homeless for a couple of years. Sleeping on park benches and under bridges while battling addictions trying to feel the void of the loss of his parents. By the age of 20 J.c. decided that he had enough and it was time change his life and to change the world. Changing the world by becoming a voice for his generation. Showing the world and the people within it "That we are all one of a kind for what we have been threw, overcome, and what we have yet to become." While telling stories of the darkest hours and brightest times throughout his life. Also through the inspiration of others with his lyrics, J.c. is a unique artist with catchy guitar riffs and haunting melodies added to a mixture of 90's Alternative Rock and 60's/70's southern and psychedelic rock. All while being diverse and staying up to date at the same time. Covering songs from rock to rap such as " Blunt Blowing", "Sorry 4 The Wait," by Lil Wayne, or "Superman" and "Drug Ballad" by Eminem, "F*** You" By Cee Lo Green, Nirvana's "You Know You're Right," "Lithium" and many more from them. As well as Seether's "Fine Again," and even songs from such great artists as Marcy's Playground, Gary Jules, Sick Puppies, Sublime, Pagoda, Puddle of Mudd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, and many more. Seeing TranKQuiLL live from the original songs to their covers beginning to end is like seeing your childhood memories come to life with a mature, modern-day twist. Now with Kalin Iliev, formerly of Hero Chinchillaz and Virginia Rose Band, on bass and finally, Blake Maxfield, whose long time influences include Nirvana, Foo Fighters, NIN, Pantera, Lynard Skynard, Queens of the Stone age and many more similar artist we have all grown up listening to ourselves, will make a great addition to the group and help take this band to the next level. We would like to wish Ryan Dutton and Yoshi Gish ( Our former drummer and bassist.) The best of luck and support them through all there amazing talents, bands, and future successes in there careers. As for TranKQuiLL, this new lineup will surely be something to look forward to see doing big things this year and in the years to come.
