Ophelia is a band based in Boise, Idaho. Members include Kayleigh Jack (vocals, violin and guitar), Jason Griesa (bass and guitar,) Mike Rundle (drums/ percussion). The members of this trio have all also had successes in their own right...

♪ Kayleigh Jack (Vocal's,Guitar & Violin) , from Portsmouth, NH, is a classically trained violinist who has performed with the Boise State Orchestra, Vivaldi String Quartet and countless other ensemble's. She began her fiddling journey around the age of 12 and hasn’t looked back. Though she stills performs wedding's and special event's with her violin, the fiddle has helped her gel into modern music around Boise. She also plays guitar, mandolin and compose's her own music. In 2006, she spent a summer in Nashville, TN to learn from the big dog's and became a two-time CMT Music City Madness Elite-8 Finalist and winner of countless industry honors, including Nashville Star Search, Best Emerging Songwriter and three-time VH-1 Song of the Year Finalist. In 2008, she was a frontwoman of a traveling production called: Americana On Tour where she traveled to Las Vegas, NV and Laughlin, NV and performed for sold out theatres. Through the years, she has played in countless bands of all genres throughout her home of Boise. She is proud and excited to have her own project in which she can throw all of her creativity and energy!

♪ Jason Griesa (Bass & Guitar), from Flint, MI, Jason has traveled and toured around the country with various bands performing many styles of music until making his home in Boise in 2002.In 2004 his band toured with the North Mississippi Allstars throughout the US. In 2006 he traveled to Memphis with Smokin’ Todd Sorensen & the Real Deal to represent Idaho in the International Blues Challenge. 2008. Jason performed with Dallas Hodge of Canned Heat in Seattle, WA and also toured with Boise-based production Americana On Tour.

♪ Michael Rundle (Drums,Percussion & Vocals) has extensive experience in the recording industry that has taken him to Austin TX, Madison WI & Portland OR to live and soak in different musical genre's, experiences and people. Mike had drum & percussion tracks used several times on the HBO show "The Big C" and on the CW network's "One Tree Hill". While living in Madison Mike took several lessons from James Brown's funky drummer, Clyde Stubblefield. Clyde often asked Rundle to sit in on his Tuesday night jam session's. Stubblefield once told Rundle, "Brother..Your so funky I can smell you across the room"! Mike has also had the opportunity to work with some of the industry's finest producer's and engineer's. Folks like Bruce Calder (Ric Ocasek,Mother Love Bone,Presidents of the USA) Mark Haines (Son Volt,Jayhawks) John Goodmanson (Death Cab for Cutie,Wu Tang Clan,Sleather Kinney) and Phil Ek (Built to Spill,The Shins) Mike also teaches private lessons as well as at Boise Rock School in Boise, ID.

Ophelia’s style of writing has been compared to such greats as the Dance Hall Crasher’s and vintage Andrew's Sisters. In 2012, they were included on the Moxie Java’s IdaHo Ho Ho CD Compilation with an original Christmas diddy (This Misletoe), and also performed to a full house at Boise’s Egyptian Theatre for Curtis Stigers’ Extreme Holiday Extravaganza. Recently the song "Summer Night's" was added to the Boise 150 Music Compilation. They are occasionally joined by the fine talents of their good friends: Emily Tipton (Emily Tipton Band), Johnny Shoes (Joshua Tree) and Dan Costello (Ned Evett,Truckstop Trio) Dave Manion (Curtis Stigers,Country Club,New Transit) and Bernie Reilly (Reilly Coyote,Gizzardstone).
