Born and raised in Fresno, Ca. La Vester Jackson ,this Christian MC began writing poetry and drawing at the age of 8. By the time he was 12 along with the encouragement of an older cousin he turned his poems into rhyme with rhythm. Upon reaching High School he had earned a reputation for having a swift and firry delivery. La Vester Jackson was heavily influenced by well known rappers E-40, Nas, 2PAc, and Busta Rhymes. In the 11th grade him and four friends formed a group and called themselves Camp Juggernaut. One night while in a battle of lyrics he was told that the way he delivered his words and his flow was , sick or the term for that time was "ill". After several stage names he decided to ride with ILL Poetik as a throwback for his love of poetry. By 2002 he and his group was well known throughout Fresno but this was the time his life had taken a turn. This same year he and his soon to be wife would start attending church. He had grown up in Church but had never had a relationship with the Lord. As his walk and faith increased his desire to rap secular songs decreased thus he parted ways with his group. God was moving spiritually and personally in his life. He later got married and took a break from his music endeavors. The fire didn't stay unlit for too long cause during his break God placed in his heart to speak words of knowledge and empowerment thru music . Holy HIp-Hop is what he calls his craft but spreading the word of God to a lost and dying nation is all that matters. In 2011 he and his family moved to Southern California where he has linked up with Mega Praiz Productions the Gospel division of TRM Music Group. He currently has a newly released mixed cd titled "Sky Walkin" and is working on a Holy Ghost fire album to be released around the Spring of 2013
