Rob Rainwater is a singer, songwriter, and blues artiest based in Portland, Oregon. Drawing on a background steeped in the Blues, Folk, and Southern Rock, Rob creates a rich mix of original and traditional music played on guitar and mandolin.
Rob has played and collaborated with many Portland-area artists. During his years at Multnomah University, Rob led and toured locally with his band, Vagabond's Tree. They played primarily on college campuses and in churches around the Pacific Northwest.
Post-college days, Rob has been gigging solo, honing his songwriting skills, and playing with local friends and artists. He plays at a variate of venues from weddings and corporate events to pubs.
Rob has also performed on stage with the Jackson Michelson Band, Naomi LaViolette, and best of all, at the UC Santa Cruz Mandolin Symposium with his mandolin hero, David Grisman. Rob released his first solo record, "About : Time" in 2013, and his songwriting debuted nationally with the release of the music for a Christian feature film in 2014.
