Out of the ashes of Calgary's Dwayne Guitarist Eirik Hutchinson made the move to Vancouver with the intention of starting anew. With the ending of Dwayne the itch to start writing his own songs came to a tipping point, along with this came the Drummer Tyler Milnthorp as a partner in crime and musical ideas. Although he did not live in Vancouver he would still visit to jam out the few songs Eirik had written. Due to his living situation and company the two had to cut ties and go their own ways.
From there Eirik decided that he did not need the company of other musicians to write these little ditty’s as he calls them. So he spent hours in his living room working the arrangements and structures of the songs until they were close to perfect. Then came the daunting task of recording with the help of Bass man Extraordinaire Jamie Spittal the songs were recorded and re written on the spot in the studio. Of course you need drums so Eirik enlisted the help from the incredible Ily Barnes who laid down the foundation to the pieces.
Eirik's influences span a wide variety of genres, from the blues to the 60's British invasion, but the most prominent artists you hear on the songs consist of Peaches, Jimi Hendrix, The White Stripes, Motorhead, The Horrors, The Strokes, The Kinks, Cream, Kasabian and The Rolling Stones.
