Oliver Sean has stripped down!
The MTV Europe Music Awards Nominee who has had much success with his full band productions and commercial pop rock sound has started off 2015 with a very acoustic and unplugged sound that fans at all his performances across the UK, India, Dubai and Zurich, have been surprised with and are enjoying thoroughly.
Going from a stadium rock sound to his more acoustic sounding performances and recordings was not such a shock to fans considering that all his hits in the past have always had strong acoustic influences, even magazines like Rolling Stone when reviewing Oliver Sean’s MTV EMA Nominated ‘So Good’ Album stated “its like the Eagles have hired Jack Johnson for some lessons on lightening up” - we guess the band did lighten up after all, because the Singer Songwriter released an EP early 2015 titled ‘The Bootleg Recordings, Vol.1’ a Live & Unplugged Oliver Sean performance from one of his gigs, featuring some of his big sounding hits and legendary covers all performed live and unplugged by Oliver Sean - giving his fans a taste of what’s to come when he releases his fourth studio album later this year.
Oliver Sean and his band are now performing unplugged at most of their gigs in 2015 as a preview to Oliver Sean’s upcoming album. The Artist’s Sound now features Acoustic Guitars, Bass, Acoustic Drums and Percussions like the Cajun and Foot Stomp boxes, all complementing the Vocals and most importantly the Songs.
“Performing my songs stripped down and unplugged is me being completely one with my music and the listeners” says the Vh1 Top 10 Artist, “switching to acoustic and more of an unplugged sound lets the listener hear my songs the way they were written before we entered the studio, it doesn’t get more real than that”
The band will still perform some of their rock hits with their big guitar sounds and stadium rock feel at gigs that call for it, however the new Acoustic sound is what 2015 is going to be all about for fans of the artist especially with the highly anticipated upcoming Oliver Sean Album. Think Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews are having a Jam, but with a powerful and seductive voice that can only be attributed to Oliver Sean.
