My Dearest Desire is a Post-Pop Punk/Rock band from Fort Myers Florida. The band formed in May of 2012 and consists of vocalist and guitarist Devin Dietsch, bassist and backing vocalist Nick Abernathy and drummer AJ Egan.
Together, they plan on attacking the local music scene and touring around the Florida area to bring their new genre to the table, and earn many new fans and friends along the way. We hope you're just as excited as we are to kick off this new era of awesome! ;)

In 2011, after 3 years of being in a former band, Devin and AJ won the Ernie Ball "Battle of the Bands" for the chance to play Warped Tour 2011 in Uniondale, New York. With a last minute warning and no lead guitarist, they flew long time friend Nick Abernathy up from Florida to play with them. After realizing the success of their chemistry, they decided to leave New York behind them and return to their Florida roots to be an entirely different and refreshing band... "My Dearest Desire". In late September, Nick discovered the recent addition of lead guitarist Matt Bennett while attending college to realize their musical abilities were a perfect chemistry.
