I have been a SongDreamer since I was a boy, though until recently I didn’t really know what that meant. As a child, I would soar through my dreams on the textures of music that would fill them. It wasn’t until high-school that I started to try to manifest this music in my waking life.
Audio-tape was my primary resource, and it was clunky, at best. I spent time in studios with a variety of projects but the high rental fees made that difficult to sustain. In my 20’s, my wife Heather bought me a four-track recorder. This allowed me to do more but it wasn’t until the advent of cheaper, computer based technologies that I was finally able to begin to recreate the breadth of what I heard in my dreams.
The clarity and abundance of the music and lyrics that comes in the dreams is new. Since December of 2009, I have produced over 100 of these songs. They are but a fraction of the songs I have received. Sometimes three or four songs come to me a night, far beyond what I have time to produce. Some are stories about people’s lives, some seem to be warnings about the direction we are taking our world, others are hopeful messages about who we are and what we are capable of achieving. The resulting CD’s are a testament to the people, messages, and hope portrayed in the words and music. These songs are gifts for all of us and I offer them to you with a deep gratitude to the Creation for all I have received. The Hope IS out there . . .
