Formed in Late July/August 2012, the bands initial line up was organized by Mark and Matt, after a break up of several separate projects that followed a semi reunion of a former local garage/alt project (EndlessNameless) in efforts to raise money for former EN drummer, and current Unrest guitarist Matt Fogg; after an intense battle with heart failure. In addition to the founding members, creation of the project progressed simultaneously with all artists in UIT (coming from different influential background) to create a diverse, ambient; yet abrasive sound. Lyrical subjects that range from transcendence, existentialism, and science fiction, to the nature of consumerism, political views/values, and even abstract art.
Unrest in Transit's abstract, and sometimes... conventional song structuring; paints an artistic picture that could only come from the rural areas of New England.
