"I Still Look Up To Him" was written to honor dad Angelo. For 50 years he worked selling Miller beer to provide for us. He died in may 2011 at 93. My wish is that Blake Shelton will record it to honor his dad Dick Shelton, who passed a year after mine, and will sing it to honor all of our dads, who do so much for us.
I have been writing songs for nineteen years. I grew up in a Greek family in Virginia, listening to blues, gospel, and of course, traditional Greek music. My mother’s eclectic taste in music was nurtured as she grew up working in her father’s record store in the 30's. Like everyone in my family, I love music. I have always been a compulsive listener of many diverse styles. An interesting special skill I taught myself is Tuvan throat singing.
