In 2007, Chuck Schaeffer was disgusted with the bar band scene; the seemingly bottomless pit of cover bands, wearing the same outfits, playing in local beer joints 'til 2:00 am for lunch money. It was musically suffocating. While he was already well-established as a slick guitarist, what he really wanted most was recognition as a great songwriter, to front his own band and create his own sound. That was the birth of CSB.
CSB has a hard rock edge, but is never hard on the ears. Their songs are overflowing with compelling melodies, clever, infectious hooks, great solos and thought-provoking lyrics. It's immediately interesting, sonically pleasing and unmistakably original.
