Scholars disagree on when Without Hazard, the guitar slinging four piece band really began, but they were at definitely hitting stages and writing songs by May of 2010. They began in basements playing to their fourteen fans the only songs they had written “Reszt,” “In Order,” and “Numb.”
Things have changed in the two-plus years since then.
They have moved out of the basement. In St. Louis, they have played every mid sized venue. They are alumni of The Firebird, Off Broadway, FUBAR, and Cicero’s.
They have more than three songs. They spent the summer of 2011 recording “Amateur Astronomer” in their basement and, in the summer of 2012, took its best songs into Jupiter Studios where they recorded and mixed a four song demo of the same name.
Now they spend their time writing songs, looking for new places to play, and searching for new ears to reach. As the saying goes, “there’s practice time, and then there’s game time.” After two years of practice time, it’s game time for Without Hazard.
