By age 15, when all of Steve's friends were excited about dating, acquiring their drivers license and hanging out, Steve had a different interest. He had just received his first guitar and was spending all of his spare time teaching himself to play. His friends knew where they could find him when they needed him, in his room playing guitar and writing songs. Creating music was just as desirous to him as going out was to his friends. He was a natural.
Growing up as a singer/songwriter during the mid 70's until present day, Steve's songwriting style seems to ebb and flow with the changing tide of the decades. After many years, hundreds of demo's, 4 CD's and over 300 songs, well, Steve has grown up. Steve has had a lot to say about the world around him as he has lived and/or observed life and love.
Steve's songs are reminiscent of the common ups and downs of life and relationships.
His aggressive acoustic flavored rock songs reflect his views on relationships of all kinds and just common, everyday living.
Presently, Steve's musical journey has evolved into a daily regimen of writing, re-writing and recording in his project studio. With a new solo project just released (and I do mean solo, Steve handled all instruments effectively plus carried the chore of providing vocals). With "LIFE AND LOVE" under his belt Steve is currently crafting his next effort ""HEART AND SOUL. When will it be released? "Whenever I decide to stop, says Steve, I don't work within a certain time frame. It's not that I can't, because I always have in the past. It's just that I want to flow with it and do some things stylistically that I haven"t tried before. When I get the tracks the way I hear them performance wise and grow weary of perfecting them. When I've written enough material for a new project and don't want to sit on them any longer. That's when I'll release Life and Love.
Steve's motto is, "Live and love and the songs will come naturally".
And they do.
To capture the moment and to make it melodic and lyrically picturesque for the listener is Steve's goal in songwriting.
"My intent is to write songs that will give hope or cause positive change in someone for the better, especially concerning the relationships in their life."
