What started as a cover band has evolved into a focused and driven writing machine. With its music as diverse as its members, Years Apart has proven itself to be a band worth listening to. Currently in the studio finishing their debut CD, they are still writing and setting up for the next release.
A hard rock band with melodic undertones coming from 80's Rock and current Hard Rock with Jazz, Rap and Grunge tones that fits and melds into Years Apart. This complex musical mix is also apparent in the successful shows they have performed, opening for artists like Evans Blue, Geoff Tate, Dizzy Reed, Lou Gramm and Fuel. They also volunteer their time for good causes such as Mamapalooza and a Sandy Hook Elementary benefit show.
They are all about creating great music and sharing it. Years Apart music is a roller coaster of emotion with the sadness of losing a loved one in "Come Down to Me" or anger from pointless violence in "Dom V." followed by the satisfaction of "Redemption". With a tug at the heart strings with "Daddy's little Angel" to thoughts of what travels thru the mind of a soldier in "Armed" and everything in between they have something to provoke a feeling. All in all, it makes you nod your head to the rhythm and you know you had thought provoking rock and roll ride.
