Antiidote / Bio
Chris A. Valdes (born January 29, 1991), better known by his stage name Antidote, was born to Puerto Rican parents in Salem, MA. Throughout most of his childhood he grew up in Lynn, MA listening to a cultural mixture of Latin and Hip-Hop artists like Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Run DMC, Fabolous, Eddie Santiago, and The Noise. At the age of seventeen, he started his bilingual music career in Charlestown with former producer Midi "The Monster". After noticing his talented voice and energetic freestyles, Midi encouraged him to write his own music and asked him to join his young and evolving group called "Monster City," where they collaborated on several projects. A few years later, Antidote left the group to start his own urban musical movement called R.O.O.T 95 (Representing Originality On The 95). Alongside his brother "Viruz", he aims to tell their stories through the power of music with the help of other local artists such as RemyDe, Regicide. R.O.O.T 95 has major plans to grow and expand as they present their talented crew to the world. Working with Agresivo Recordz and the whole Tengo Hambre Movement .
