Nashville-based singer/songwriter Zach Ummer offers a unique blend of folk, pop, and rock with influences that include Coldplay and the Goo Goo Dolls. Ummer's lyrics are catchy and relatable to a vast group of audiences. The smooth feel of the vocals are extremely enjoyable and hard to forget. Behind Ummer lies a collage of sounds coming from a wide range of instruments. Acoustic guitars and piano accompany the vocals throughout the course of each song, supplemented by Kyle Pudenz's violin and mandolin which give the music a feel that is classically refined but has the edge of modern folk, as well as electric guitars and synths that open the dynamic range to its fullest potential. Tying this vast array of colors and textures together is Kayleigh Moyer on drums and percussion. The drum grooves work to drive the rhythm section, but also continually compliment the melodies and licks found in the other instruments, elegantly fusing these sounds into a solid unit that showcases complexity, yet harmony. Each band member adds a piece to the puzzle, and when brought together, the result is something even more powerful.
