The band was formed by long time friends and former band mates James, Jimmy, and Mike late in 2011. Due to some extreme and unfortunate circumstances, Jimmy and Mike recruited James to play a benefit show, known as Plungerfest, for our good friend and brother, Jay "Lurch" Sica. Months after the performance, the three founding members were at a loss. Having no bass player and vocalist to continue their love for the metal, the band was about to give up. That is, until Matt was brought into the fold. Matt had been the resident bass player for James, Mike, and Jimmy in multiple bands prior. With Matt's love for the music and enthusiasm, the band was back on track. The hunt for a singer took months, but finally found the missing piece needed to add the "Breath" to the "Carnavarice." Scotty Z brought a demon screech like none other, and a front man presence that of Randy Blythe, Phil Anselmo, and Chris Barnes. Since then, Carnavarice Breath has been making its presence known in the local underground, and has hopes of tapping the regional markets. With the upcoming "Rise of the Carnavarice" EP slated for a late summer release, the expectations are high, but the excitement is never ending.
